It seems quite frequently a handful of thumbnails fail to load on a page. Examining the requests with firefox's network monitor I find the request waiting for a response until it returns a 404. Reloading the page a few times usually fixes it or directly viewing the thumbnail. Although sometimes they're more stuburn and continue to fail. Other times most of the requests end as 503 and 500 errors which would definitely be on DAs end.

Firefox also reports any deviantart pages opened as loading until presumably whatever request holding things up times out. The network monitor shows no pending requests. Sometimes it seems javascript doesn't run on deviation pages as favoriting is unresponsive (both the button and dragging to the favorites bar), though this is less common and a refresh usually fixes it. Using an adblocker doesn't appear to have an effect on these issues.

I haven't been able to find any info on the issue, although there isn't really a technical forum to discuss such issues on deviantart. Just tickets as I understand. Anyone else having these issues? This has been going on for several months now.

Wowee, I haven't made a new journal in a long time. I don't have any announcements to make or anything to talk about at the moment, but that old journal was starting to smell.

I could use to make a new journal skin, maybe something more metro. Expect to see 13 more pony drawings as I'm participating in the EQD's "Newbie Artist Training Grounds IV" event. I'll probably get to some character concepts after that or some time soon.

Looks like I also need to renew my premium membership. I'll get to that eventually.
